Personal interactions with pharmaceutical employees continue to drive positive sentiment towards the sector

HCPs recall contact with pharmaceutical employees—most often with medical representatives, as in previous waves. Other forms of contact are largely unchanged, though there are signs of increased contact with General Managers. Of those who have had some interaction with a pharma employee, most felt these interactions were helpful or even essential for their role as healthcare professionals.

HCPs continue to see scientific journals as the most reliable source of information about the sector, with an increasing proportion viewing pharmaceutical companies themselves as a reliable source of information. Around half of HCPs consider the government or regulators and pharmaceutical company employees or representatives as reliable sources.
